Foundd : Entertainment You Love

Have you ever called your friends over for a movie night and it took ages to decide on what movie to watch? Do you always a have a problem making that decision? Well I do. Always. And now I have found the solution to this problem. Foundd, a new movie recommendation website, founded at the beginning of the year and launched earlier this week, which not only finds you movies you would like to watch, but also helps a group decide on a movie they can watch together!! 

The way it works is that, you sign up with Facebook, Twitter, or Email (may I add very slick and easy sign up process) then it presents you with a short “getting to know you” quiz where you rate a handful movies on a one to five star scale. The rating never stops, if you have watched it, rate it, it’ll allow the site to give you a more detailed analysis of your taste.  After a you have done a few ratings, you can then move on to your watchlist which will recommend movies that Foundd thinks you will like according your ratings. Not just that, it’ll also tell you on the same 5 star scale, how much it thinks you will like it. 

It then prompts you to add your friends. If you signed up via Facebook or Twitter, you can just pick them out from the list provided. Each group watchlist can have up to five members, which seems a little limiting for large groups of friends and family. You can also add filters according to genre, and the production year of the movie and the provider availability for online purchasing. 

Each movie is presented with its poster, info, trailer, snapshots and links to purchasing from Netflix & iTunes. Ze Germans are behind this great website, co-founded by Berlin based Lasse Clausen, Christian Riedel, Benjamin Metz and Peter Madel out of frustration with finding anything good to watch.
