Fortune’s 40 Under 40 List Just Featured The American/Egyptian, Rana El Kaliouby, and Here’s Why!

The American-Egyptian, Rana el Kaliouby, has been named in the 2018 Fortune 40 under 40 list for the most influential young people in business. She ranked among big names like Mark Zuckerberg and Bad Gal Riri.
In 2009, El Kaliouby co-founded Affectiva as a scientific research center that brings emotional intelligence to the digital world. Using a mind-reading technology that could sense and analyze facial and emotional responses, the tech will have important implications for the advertising and marketing industries. The startup has 25% of the world’s largest companies among its users.
The 39-year-old holds Bachelor and Master of Science degree from American University in Cairo and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge.
