Fashion Trends You’ll Be Seeing the Most in 2015
If there’s a single resolution most people actually try to accomplish, it’s the most overused and overheard one: “New Year, New Me.”
Well, if that’s how we’ll be keeping things every year, then we have infinite chances to change multiple aspects of our lives. For us fashion forward women, this means a substantial change in our wardrobe, with shifting trends and our own design experiments.
But “new year, new me” isn’t just about changing our style and grooming, it’s also about making positive changes within our personality. So how about we help you out with the fashion and trends part while you take care of the rest?
Talk about 2015 and its fashion trends, and we automatically picture 60s- and 70s-inspired style. But, ladies, there’s more than retro this year, and we’ve gathered the most dominating trends for you to follow.
Take a look:
Get The Gingham
Yes, this trend is retro, but if there’s one print you’ll be seeing everywhere, it’s this nostalgic gingham. If you really are into following trends, then get your hands on this particular print.
It can be worn in bottoms, tops, dresses, coats, shoes – everywhere. Wear a plain crop top and pair a gingham skirt with it or you can keep it all gingham on gingham.
The colors that ruled the runways were the usual black/white, red/white and picnic-like blue/white.
All That Is Art
The runways for 2015 seemed more like an art studio. From fine water color abstracts and vibrant works of art to brush strokes and splatter, there was color everywhere.
We love the exquisite beauty of these artistic prints and that’s what we will be seeing a lot of this year; from dresses to layers, clothes will look more like abstract water color paintings.
Formally Floral
While last year was all about floral prints, this year the flowers went formal, with beautiful embroidery and feminine color combinations.
Oscar de la Renta gave us remarkable embroidered dresses that we dream about making their way into our wardrobes.
This spring, expect red carpets and other such occasions to be filled with gorgeous fashionistas draped in stunning dresses detailed with delicate floral embroidery.
All Eyes On Eyelets
With a broderie anglais revolution on the runways, eyelet detailed dresses with refreshing colors and patterns will be taking over the fashion scene this year.
Expect the edges and bottoms of your outfits to enjoy some scalloped detailing as well.
2015 Cuts
- Your shoulders will be enjoying some sun with the one-shoulder trend making a comeback.
- Expect pleats – lots of pleats – in your dresses.
- As for your bottoms, we’re repeating history with culottes, wide-leg pants and knee-length skirts and shorts.
