You Heard It Here First: Meet the Cast of Netflix’s Paranormal!
Since the launch of the first Arabic Netflix Original, Jinn, Arabs in the region and abroad have been super excited about Arabic content. The huge success of Jinn was followed by another Arabic hit with the release of Dollar, and it was about time that Netflix announces the first Egyptian Netflix Original Series.
The first Egyptian Netflix Original will be Paranormal, a drama series based on the late Ahmed Khaled Tawfik’s books that sold more than 15 million copies worldwide. The series features Ahmed Amin, and will be joined by Razan Gammal (Magy), Aya Samaha (Huwaida), and Sama Ibrahim (Ra’efa).
It will be directed by renowned Egyptian Director, Amr Salama, and Emirati Director Majid Al Ansari. Shooting started on November 17th in Cairo and will take place in different locations between Giza and Fayoum.
Paranormal is set in 1960’s Egypt, where Dr. Refaat Ismail gets plunged into a series of supernatural events as he attempts to unravel the mysteries behind each unique and unusual case.
