The Egypt Kiteboarding World Championship is kicking off today in El Gouna and continues until Sunday, March 27. Sixty of the world’s best freestyle and big air kite surfers will be competing for 50,000 Euro of prize money.
The Red Sea is internationally renowned for its year-round, epic wind conditions, which consistently draws professional kite boarders to Egyptian shores.
Among the elite riders competing this year are world champions Youri Zoon, Karolina Winkowska (who is also a #ThisIsEgypt ambassador), Carlos Mario and Aaron Hadlow.
You can watch all the action on ONTV, El Gouna’s Snapchat @elgounaredsea and Instagram, or live at Elements beach.
