Dubai Fashion Week Officially Joins The International Calendar That’s Set To Debut In March

Big news for the fashion world the Arab Fashion Council and Dubai Design District have just revealed the dates for the first-ever Dubai Fashion Week, which will run from March 10 to 15. Previously known as Arab Fashion Week, the event will now officially join the illustrious New York, London, Milan, and Paris fashion weeks on the international calendar. Dubai hopes to use Dubai Fashion Week to highlight the Arab fashion sector as a whole while globally amplifying Dubai’s creativity and fashion business.

Khadija Al Bastaki, senior vice president of Dubai Design District told What’s On that Dubai has already made a name for itself as one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world thanks to its thriving economy, rising tourist numbers, and emphasis on fashion adding that, “the globe will now pay attention to the Middle East for its outstanding fashion taste and inventiveness thanks to Dubai Fashion Week.” The main focus of the event will encompass the diversity, unity, business, ambition, and innovation of Dubai in the fashion industry.

Fashion enthusiasts are hoping to see Arab designer favorites like Syria’s Rami Al Ali, Egypt’s Farida Temraz, and Lebanon’s Elie Saab have all had a significant impact on the industry.
