The 111 minutes long length documentary, directed by Ian Bonhote, follows a feature biopic about Lee Alexander McQueen, who committed suicide back in 2010 in his forties, in his own home in Mayfair, London. The documentary film, that will be shown in the bustling artistic hub of AlSerkal Avenue, will be exclusively brought to  Dubai and the UAE by Cinema Akil.

The project, which will also be a play, is on the designer’s life, his career and the late tragedy of ending his life. Mcqueen was the Chief Designer at Givenchy from 1996 to 2001. Since he started his own brand in 1992, he was awarded the British Designer of the year awards for four years in addition to the CFDA’s international designer of the year in 2003.

WE SAID THIS: A true legend; may he rest in peace!
