Beirut Relief: Social Media Icon Karen Wazen Donates Thousands to Help Those Injured in the Blast
Since the tragic explosion that took place in the Lebanese capital a few weeks ago, several celebrities and independent organizations have been consolidating their efforts to help the city rise back up again.
Recently, Dubai-based Lebanese social media icon, Karen Wazen, announced donating USD 10,000 to provide aid for Lebanon. The money will be given to the Beirut Eye & ENT Spec Hospital (BESH) to help the nearly 6,000 people who were injured during the explosion.
Wazen, who is a high-profile supporter of the UNHCR, had previously shared a post on her 4.3 million-follower-account urging people to talk about Lebanon and donate to help the people in the demolished Arab country.
