Before starring alongside Mohamed Ramadan in the awaited movie Asad, Lebanese-British actress Razane Jammal was already making waves on screens across the region and beyond. While we count down to the movie’s release in cinemas on May 14, let’s take a look at the standout roles that made us fall in love with her talent.

Maggie in Paranormal (2020)

Set in the 1960s and based on the bestselling novels by the late Dr. Ahmed Khalid Tawfik, Paranormal packs mystery, suspense, and supernatural thrills. It follows Doctor Refaat Ismail, a single hematologist who keeps finding himself in the middle of otherworldly events.

Jammal plays Maggie, Refaat’s old flame and colleague, who joins him on a thrilling journey to save their loved ones, building on her proven ability to blend thrilling roles with romance.

The 2022 Egyptian historical movie Kira & El Gin, directed by Marwan Hamed and based on Ahmed Mourad’s novel 1919, is packed with action, drama, and the high-stakes world of the Egyptian resistance against British occupation.

Jammal shines alongside stars Karim Abdel Aziz and Ahmed Ezz, bringing charm and edge to a character caught in a whirlwind of intrigue, danger, and history. She takes on the role of Emily, a stylish British aristocrat navigating the thrills and tensions of 1920s Egypt.

Lyta in The Sandman (2022 & 2025)

In Netflix’s The Sandman, when Dream, the cosmic being who rules all dreams, is captured and imprisoned for over a century, chaos spreads across worlds and timelines.

As Rose Walker’s friend, Lyta finds herself caught up in the epic struggles of the Endless, proving that even in a universe of gods and dreams, human emotion can be the most powerful force of all.
