Aya Mostafa Shuts Down Her Haters Like a Boss After Taking Her Veil Off
Just two weeks ago, video blogger Aya Mostafa became one of the most talked about women on social media after she decided to take off her veil. Mostafa felt the need to explain her unexpected move to her 5 million followers and it did not end well. The followers who used to fall on the floor laughing with every video she posts, soon turned into harsh judgmental preachers. From people calling her a kafra (infidel) to others accusing her of encouraging other women to do the same, this is just an example of how entitled her followers are.
It will never make sense to me how people think they have the right to make a woman feel worthless for being honest about her social and emotional struggles. This is the ugly price of social media fame. It’s all fun and games until you’re the victim of the constantly offended Facebookers for just being who you are.
Two days ago, Mostafa announced that Lamis ElHadidy invited her to the show Hona El3asema and people went crazy. Yet, we take our hats off to Mostafa who was the definition of a millennial who instead of defending herself in words, went all the way and shut down her haters with memes. We love it.
WE SAID THIS: You go girl!
