Gulf News reports that Art Dubai has released its schedule for its 16th edition, which will be held in Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai from March 3 to 5, 2023. This year’s edition will include more than 130 presentations spread across four sections: Contemporary, Modern, Bawwaba (dedicated to new work by Global South artists), and Art Dubai Digital from more than 40 nations and six continents.
Benedetta Ghione, Art Dubai’s Executive Director told Gulf News that the fair was founded in 2007 and, “has always tried to reframe what an art fair can be, and this year’s program fully reflects our role as a meeting point for the region’s creative industries, both commercial and not-for-profit.”
Additionally, this year’s edition will feature more than 50 sessions in the form of conferences, talks and education programs. These events will aim to support upcoming local artists and give them the opportunity to learn from renowned artists to gain more experience, exposure and inspiration. Art Dubai’s uniqueness is in its ability to make connections possible between all continents for galleries, collectors, artists, museum directors, patrons and curators.
The fair will be held under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai along with the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority being the fair’s strategic partner.
