All You Need to Know About Jazz Tales Festival Third Edition

If you’re an avid Jazz lover, then you definitely won’t want to miss this. The Jazz Tales Festival kicked off last Monday, the 1st of April, and will be concluded on the 14th of the same month. The festival took off with an epic opening concert featuring Egyptian Jazz Drummer Yehya Khalil.

The festival will feature workshops, as well as concerts performed by both Egyptian and international talents. It’ll take place at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, however, other events will be held at other venues. Those include the American University in Cairo’s Tahrir Campus and the Farah Foundation in Agami outside of Alexandria.

Concerts at the Jazz Tales Festival are held after each workshop, featuring bands like Cairo Big Band Society from Egypt, Chad Lefkowitz Brown from the US, Egypt’s favorite Nesma Mahgoub, Glissando Big Band all the way from Spain, Nouran Abutaleb from Egypt, and finally, Under the Surface from The Netherlands.

I recommend you go and check out the next concert this Wednesday, the 10th of April. Both Nouran Abutaleb and Under the Surface will perform at Bibliotheca Alexandrina Conference Center (BACC) Great Hall, from 8 pm – 9:30 pm.

And, you must book your tickets for Youssra El-Hawary and Monika Herzig’s SHEroas who are going to conclude the ongoing third edition of Jazz Tales Festival on April the 13th, from 8 pm – 9 pm at BACC Great Hall. SHEroas is a very talented band from the USA; they took the music scene by storm with their hit “El-Soor” back in 2012. For more information about the festival, click here.
