All You Need to Know About Infinity des Lumieres’ Space-Themed Art Exhibition
Dubai’s best art center, Infinity des Lumieres is now celebrating space. Curated by industry leaders and thinkers, the art center is now home to the space-themed exhibition, “Destination Cosmos: The Ultimate Challenge”, celebrating the universe and digital art. In the Dubai Mall, people get to live a one-of-a-kind immersive experience, exploring the planets, stars, and the UAE’s latest achievements in space exploration.
The event launched on Feb. 11 and will last until April 2. With a venue as huge as Infinity des Lumieres, the possibilities are endless. There are 58 speakers, 130 projectors, and 3,000 HR digital images used across 2,700 square meters. Furthermore, the country brings local, regional, and international artists, with the goal to strengthen the UAE’s stance on digital art and advocate diversity.
It’s been a year since the UAE’s Hope Probe has reached Mars. That has made the leading gulf nation the first Arab country and the fifth country in the world to do that. Just as the UAE has taken Hope Probe to another planet, into the cosmos, the art exhibition is dedicated to taking the visitors there as well.
The journey across the cosmos
The French National Center for Space Studies (CNES) organized the event in partnership with Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre. Consequently, the trip across the cosmos starts at the Centre National D’études Spatiales (CNES). Visitors get to take off from the Guyanese rainforest and into the universe.
The journey has 13 sequences and a prologue. Through digital art and music, the passengers see stars, Jupiter, the rings of Saturn, then they proceed to leave the solar system. Out into space, they witness nebulae and supernovas accompanied by music, created especially for the journey.
On the opening night, passengers enjoyed an orchestra live, initiating their trip across the galaxies. However, it’s never too late, you can book your tickets now, with prices ranging from DH75 to DH125. It’s time to travel the universe, right in the heart of Infinity des Lumieres, Dubai’s digital art center.
