Abu Dhabi Set To Host World’s ‘First-of-its-Kind’ Parenthood: The Unconference

Organized by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge, Parenthood: The Unconference is set to be the world’s first event of its kind at Yas Island’s Etihad Arena from 2nd to 4th Nov. 2022, according to Gulf News. Organizers, who spoke to Arab News, stated that the aim of Parenthood: The Unconference is to promote worldwide discourse to aid in better-preparing parents to tackle new and important issues in a world where traditional benchmarks have disappeared and the old norms no longer hold true.

Visitors will have access to new and reimagined learning opportunities that can help them become better people, spouses, and caregivers. The program will cover all stages of parenting from early childhood to adolescence across 5 themes: Identity, New Perspectives, Development, Well-Being, and Early Childhood.

This event intends to promote and ignite a global dialogue to strengthen the beneficial interaction between educational institutions, parents, and students. The greatest experts from around the world will be present at Parenthood: The Unconference to exchange and debate the most recent views regarding parenting and child development.

According to Gulf News, UNICEF has formally agreed to assist and take part in the event as a Knowledge Partner. Dr. Shefali Tsabary, a three-time New York Times bestselling author whose fusion of Western psychology and Eastern philosophy offers a ground-breaking approach to mindful living and parenting, will be one of the featured speakers. She is a renowned clinical psychologist and Oprah’s go-to parenting expert.
