A Night in Alex-Land-Ria
My father is from Alexandria, so every Ramadan we spend our first fetar with the entire family, yes its kind of like our thanksgiving except prolonged for an entire month.
Well after patting myself on the back for not over doing it and having just a small taste of something sweet, relaxing for a bit I finally asked what’s next? What is there to do in Alex on a Ramadan night? Options such as ‘Jungle’ (the most over sized cafe you will ever see in your life, and please note this is a trend in alex), a whole bunch of smaller cafes then Fresca came up. Fresca is the out door cafe located at the Four Seasons Terrace, now since the zahma wasn’t the least bit appealing to me especially coming from Cairo and knowing that there was a whole lot of tents, Sohour’s and Fetar’s coming up I automatically leapt to the opportunity of having a chilled night out.
We got ourselves together, us ladies that is since the boys went to their Ahwa, and went off not knowing where our night would take us. Traffic was moderate which I heard was the case pretty much everywhere this Friday, parking was easy, no fights or drama and in a matter of ten minutes we were sitting down ordering our Shesha.
Great thing about this place is definitely their shesha, they serve Blue Mist which is definitely a favorite but what I recommend with all my heart is ‘Rosetta’, it’s a combination of berries or something like that but whatever it is it’s just truly yummy!
From what was given to us they don’t have a specific Ramadan menu, but the food was of good quality, good portions and of coarse Four Seasoned priced. Minumum charge was a 100 L.E which is the minimum you would spend anywhere anyways so coming from Cairo where everything is usually double it seemed logical.
The location was perfect though, there is something about sitting with a sea breeze that just calms you, the interior is set with a more modern touch bright colors and spacious seating. For those looking for something sweet, there is whole counter full of treats as well as an ice cream bar where I would recommend the Mint and Lemon Sorbet (these are huge portions).
I recommend this outing to anyone there for a night be it for a business trip or simply looking for something relaxed, they also serve boo’s for those in the mood for a beer or a glass of wine with their meal or shisha.
WE SAID THIS: Thank You Alexandria!
