2018 is the year where hardcore gamers around the world will get to experience exploring ancient Egypt in the most epic way possible. Rumor has it that the newest edition of Assassin’s Creed will be set in Ancient Egypt, and the inner geek inside of me cannot wait.
Assassin’s Creed is one of the most popular and influential video games in the world. Although the movie was terrible, it still grossed up 240 million dollars worldwide.
This is going to be the tenth game in the Assassin’s Creed video game series. It was rumored to be named Assassin’s Creed: Empire, but recent leaks confirmed the it will be called Assassin’s Creed Origins.
Game developer, Ubisoft, confirmed that the new game is on its way and that more info is to be released at the next E3 conference.
What we know so far is:
1. Assassin’s Creed: Origins will be set in Ancient Egypt
2. The navel wars from Assassin’s Creed Black Flag will return
3.The Hidden Blade will require the removal of the ring finger
4. There will be two more games with the same protagonist such as the Ezio Trilogy
5. The protagonist is set to have an eagle companion
The very first Assassin’s Creed was set in Jerusalem, Damascus and Acre. It got thousands of people around the world to grow an interest in the history of these three Arabic cities, and as the popularity of the franchise increased throughout the years, more people grew interest to explore the history of Ancient Egypt.
The Assassin’s Creed series contributed in educating thousands of gamers about the American Revolution, French Revolution, British imperialism, Italian culture, crusades and other historical events. And with no doubt, the way they’re going to portray Ancient Egypt won’t be anything less than epic.
