Lorde’s catalog disappeared from Apple Music in Israel following her onstage shout of “Free Palestine” during a sold-out concert at Madison Square Garden this week. Clips from the performance went viral, showing the stage lit in the red, green, white, and black colors of the Palestinian flag as the New Zealand singer performed her hit “Team.”
Users on Apple Music Israel found Lorde’s songs inaccessible by Thursday, though her catalog remained available in the U.S. and on Spotify.
The pop star, currently touring her latest album Virgin on the Ultrasound World Tour, has previously taken political stances on the issue — canceling a 2017 Tel Aviv concert amid calls from BDS supporters.
