The Ministry of Culture has announced the launch of the first Zamalek Book Fair, set to take place from October 6th to 16th, 2025. Organized in collaboration with the General Egyptian Book Organization and the National Center for Theatre, Music, and Popular Arts, the fair will be held in the gardens of the center, in the heart of the Zamalek district.
What to Expect?
The event promises to bring together a wide range of publishing houses—both public and private— alongside daily cultural activities. Visitors can expect book signings, artistic workshops, panel discussions with authors and critics, as well as children’s activities designed to engage younger audiences.

More Than a Book Fair
The fair also carries a social initiative element: Misr El Kheir Foundation is expected to introduce surprises and special activities for attendees. According to organizers, the fair will open its doors daily from 10 AM until 9 PM, making it accessible for families, students, and book lovers alike.
The Zamalek Book Fair is part of a broader strategy by the Ministry of Culture to expand literary and cultural events beyond central Cairo hubs, following in the footsteps of the Cairo International Book Fair and other regional exhibitions.
