6 of the Craziest Gadgets at CES 2015

From levitating speakers to one wheel skateboards, here are some of the craziest gadgets from last weekend’s Consumer Electronics Show 2015 in Las Vegas, a globally renowned tech tradeshow that takes place every year.

A Paris based startup created a prototype for a “Smart Belt” that can tighten or loosen itself when you stand up or sit down. It will shake and remind you to move if you have been sitting for too long and it will also take measurements for your waist and notify you if you are gaining weight.

 

 

Onewheel

Onewheel Is a “One Wheel” self-balancing electric skateboard that accelerates when you lean forward with your front foot and slows down when you lean backwards with your back foot. It has different riding settings from classic to extreme and works seamlessly on different terrain types.

 

 

Air2

The Air2 is basically a levitating speaker that levitates using magnets. It has two parts, a base and a speaker which also sticks to the refrigerator.

 

 

Airdog

Airdog is a drone that can follow you around when you are wearing its tracking device.

It can take pictures and videos of you automatically and you can also set it up to avoid any obstacles like buildings or trees on the way.

 

 

Rollkers

Similar to roller skates, Rollkers are walking shoes powered by a motor and battery that make you walk twice as fast as you would normally do. Unlike normal roller skates, Rollkers have a stabilization system that make you walk easily and climb up and down the stairs.

 

 

Petcube

Petcube lets you watch, play and talk to your pets at home from anywhere on your phone. It is basically a box with a camera, a built in microphone and a laser pointer. You can access the Petcube using an application on your phone to see your pets at home or anyone else’s pets if they are sharing their camera.

 

 

The technology is here and it’s ready to use, but the question now is, are we ready for these gadgets?
