The satirical, sharp-witted in-your-face Egyptian comedian Bassem Youssef has been making waves ever since he appeared on the Piers Morgan show last October.
He became one of the most talked-about celebrities on social media, which makes this announcement even more exciting. The comedian is jetting across the Atlantic Ocean and arriving in Abu Dhabi this May to do what he does best: stand-up comedy.
Joining a slew of first-class comedians, including American comedian Jobrani and Aziz Ansari, Youssef will take part in the first-ever Abu Dhabi Comedy Festival. The week-long gig, held from May 18 to May 26, is going to take place at the Etihad Arena.
With Youssef’s performance, expect his usual unapologetic and honest comedy, the kind that he was famous for when he hosted “Al Bernameg,” the first political satire show in Egypt. His comedy will get the audience thinking as he dives into insightful commentary in many ways.
With it being such a star-studded comedy event, you can get your hands on tickets early on, as this event is going to be on many comedy lovers’ radar. For tickets, you can head to the Etihad Arena official website or Live Nation’s official website.
