Wear Off Your Extra Ramadan Kilos
It’s already mid Ramadan -OMG went by so fast- and you have probably added a couple of kilos from all that konafa and Atayf. Let’s be real, with the next 2 weeks and all the ka7k el 3eed coming up, you still have another couple of kilos to gain. Before you go back to the gym and healthy food, you’ll need to know some tips on hiding those kilos.
Face
Applying really light foundation and powder can add kilos to your face. You can get a nice tan that will get your face to look slimmer.
You can conture your face by applying bronzer to your face edges and sides of your nose, that way you frame your face and take kilos away.
Leaving your hair down, especially when you have long hair will give an overwhelming look to your face. Go for a high bun or a slick high ponytail that will pull your hair tight and make your face much less chubby looking. Try braids, they are really in.
Torso
Always draw attention to the smallest area in your torso, and that’s probably the waist. Try to wrap tops that will give you a nice cleavage and focus on your waist. Wearing a nice belt over your waist puts it as center of attention.
Wearing structured blazers will give you a nice symmetrical look that will elongate your torso, hence making it look slimmer.
When wearing sleeves, go for draped sleeves over regular sleeves. Go for 3/4 sleeves over 1/2 sleeve. Avoid lace or chiffon that’s tight on your arms, it makes your arms look fatter than they really are.
Bottom
Avoid anything highwaisted, it draws big attention to the butt and hips; then you’re left looking at your biggest area. The trick is wearing pants and skirts with waist starting at your hip bones, that way you avoid thong guest appearance.
The skinny jeans might not be the best option right now. Legs don’t get fat as much as hips do, and skinny jeans will highlight how bigger your hips are from your legs.
Avoid any big pockets on your butt. Baggy pants don’t hide your hips, however they look bulky and unflattering. Nice boot cut pants will make your legs look longer and slimmer.
All over
It starts with wearing the right undergarments. Your bra and panties should fit. If you’ve got bigger girls, go for a full cup bra and don’t wear any bra that let’s your girls out. Your panties shouldn’t give you a muffin top and definitely shouldn’t be too tight on your butt that it divides it to two sections.
Embrace darker colors, however don’t get stuck in black. Try burgundy, dark purple, navy, petroleum green, brown and dark grey. Make sure to add a pop of color or metal through your jewellery so you wouldn’t look dull. If you’re a fan of lighter colors, go for pastels on your thinner areas.
Avoid flashy shiny fabrics and cheap leather, they are terrible anyway. Play with vertical strips, whether you’re going for a top or pants; monochrome vertical strips are really in. Animal prints aren’t the best option right now, avoid zebra and cheetah fabrics. Color is a bold trick to focus on thinner areas. For example, if you added kilos to your hips and not to your torso, a hot pink top with navy skirt will look sexy and slimming.
