Fans Get Excited Over Ahmed Ezz and Ahmed Fahmy’s Eid Movie and Ramadan Isn’t Even Here Yet!
2020 could easily be the turning point for Egyptian cinema, with numerous projects being announced with massive production budgets and casts. One of the most anticipated movies so far is hands down ‘El Aref’, and even though it’s scheduled to come out during Eid Al Fitr, people are already super excited about it.
The movie has arguably the biggest budget for an Egyptian film yet, and it’s shot between four different countries; Egypt, Italy, Malaysia, and Bulgaria. Moreover, the production company used four of the most established stunt action specialists worldwide for the action scenes.
However, what’s making people especially excited about the movie is the cast. The movie features Ahmed Ezz, Ahmed Fahmy, Mahmoud Hemeida, Fathy Abdelwahab, Mohamed Mamdouh, Carmen Bsaibas, Hazem Ehab, and Ahmed Khaled Saleh. The groundbreaking cast is full of stars that can carry movies in their own right.
Ahmed Ezz’s latest movies, ‘El Mamar’ and ‘Welad Rezk 2’, both broke the box office records in 2019. And it seems like ‘El Aref’ will do just the same in 2020! The trailer hasn’t been posted anywhere yet and people can only watch it inside cinemas.
What interests people about the trailer is that it seems that Ahmed Fahmy is going to present a character that is very far from anything he’s done before. Ahmed Ezz is portraying a character called Younes, a hacker who’ll be involved somehow in a bank robbery. The movie is written by Mohamed Said Beshir, directed by Ahmed Alaa El Deeb, and is produced by Synergy.
