In Pictures: Cappadocia a Guide to the Instagramable Turkish City with the Balloons
One of the most beautiful destinations in the region that is uncommon for us Arabs to visit is Turkey’s Cappadocia! However, the touristic destination is, by all means, a must-visit for various reasons. Cappadocia is known by many as the international capital of hot air balloons, but there is much more to this amazing city than that.
The rich history of the city makes it very interesting to visit, adding many things to the must-do things in Cappadocia for history and culture admirers. The earliest record of the name of Cappadocia dates from the late 6th century BC, and the name is still used as an international tourism concept that defines a region of exceptional natural wonders.
In addition to riding hot air balloons and admiring the beauty of the scene of them decorating the sky, there are other things that people can do in Cappadocia. One can definitely visit interesting open-air museums where you can see cave villages that people used to live in until as late as the 1960s. Visitors must also pay visits to underground cities like the Kaymakli Underground City and Derinkuyu Underground City. The two underground cities are UNESCO World Heritage sites.
