500 New Companies have been Established in Saudi Arabia’s Booming Entertainment Sector
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has seen a considerable boom in the entertainment sector and the entire world is watching what’s next for one of the biggest states in the region! After decades of traveling abroad to do things like attend concerts and go to the movies, Saudis now can enjoy doing everything in their hometown.
Over the last year, approximately 500 entertainment-related companies have been established in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia! This is according to the Deputy Governor for Marketing and Communication of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA), Khaled Tash.
“Entertainment is an up and coming emerging sector. It’s an interesting area of business because it is the SMEs that add the most value in this sector, and in the last year we’ve seen 500 companies in entertainment alone be established,” he stated.
Concerts that have taken place already in Saudi Arabia by top-notch international superstars like Enrique Iglesias, David Guetta, Jason Derulo, Black Eyed Peas, and recently the legendary Mariah Carey! We’ve also seen the opening of cinemas, theme parks, theaters, and much more; to cater for the new openness of the Kingdom in the entertainment sector.
