5 Cairo Places You Could Watch Movies at That Are Not Cinemas
Because watching movies at the same, boring places is so 2008 and late, I’ve decided to compile a list of places that you never thought you could watch movies at in Cairo for a new experience.
Daal is part of Daal for Research and Media Center. The place is small and cozy, and they ask for no fees. They screen documentaries of their own production, and other classical movies every Wednesday. You can also grab a book of their own publications for affordable prices. It is located in 5 Garden City, Ibrahim Naguib Street.
Magnolia. Leaves of Art
Magnolia. Leaves of Art is a library that screens movies, hosts live performances, and holds karaoke nights! The movies they screen vary from European, African, to Asian and Middle Eastern. Magnolia is located in 12 Mohamed Anis street, Zamalek.
ROOM Art Space & Cafe
ROOM is an art place and a cafe that offers coffee, food, yoga live music, and of course, movie nights. The place offers so many other services, make sure to look around and explore. ROOM is located in 10 Etehaad Almohamin street, Garden City.
Sha2et Garden City “sells nostalgia” as their Facebook description says. The place is so vintage and cozy, and it takes you right back to the times of good art. The place screens the best of Egyptian movies with a warm drink to get you through the cold nights ahead of us. As the name implies, it is located in 2 Itihad Almohamien street, Garden City.
Bab Aldonia is a library and an art and co-working space which exhibits different workshops and projects. Bab Aldonia has its own cinema club in which they sreen great movies and hold movies discussions. The place is located in 69 Almehwar Almarkazy street, 2nd district, 6th of October City.
