Dinners and parties are great, but there comes a point when you realize that doing the same thing for your birthday every year isn’t going to cut in anymore. It’s time to expand our horizons because no ones getting any younger here.
We’re so accustomed to these ‘traditions’ that it gets hard to think of new things to do for someone on their birthday, so you find yourself partying at the same clubs that you’ve been to 80 times.
I think its pretty safe to say that the majority of people enjoy surprises, so why not have fun with it?
Here are 10 fun surprises you can do for someone on their birthday:
A Sophisticated Breakfast Buffet
Take the breakfast-in-bed concept to a whole new level! Create beautiful displays with food that you didn’t make yourself…
Blind fold them and take them to different places
Who wouldn’t want to get kidnapped from their house? Blindfold them and take them to different places throughout the day. It sounds pretty scary, but it will be a great time!
Customize/DIY something and deliver it to their house
Whether you want to make it yourself or order it, presents are always more thoughtful when they’re personalized. And even better when they’re delivered to your front door!
Throw a themed party
I’m not talking about the cliché Oscars or 80’s themed parties that we’ve all been to. Go for a game type theme like Assassins, and have the cake, music, and dress code match that theme. You can arrange a Harry Potter theme party or a Star Wars theme party if you want.
Have a spontaneous road trip
Grab as much snacks as you can, get in the car and start driving. You never really know what will happen, so even if you end up going nowhere, chances are you will have a pretty memorable day.
Balloon Explosion
Stuff a room with balloons so that when they open the door, they’re bombarded with a tsunami to remind them it’s their birthday. Or you can cover every inch of their room and house with balloons so it will be the first thing they see when they wake up.
Make them a video
There’s nothing more touching than a personalized birthday video. Do this for someone special and weather you decide to go in the humorous direction or the more emotional direction, we guarantee you, they will love it.
Birthday Prank
Do it in public and have a bunch of random people in on it. Their reaction will be priceless. Definitely a birthday to remember!
Jar of dares
Fill a jar with different dares and do them all throughout the day. The intensity of these dares is up to you but remember the more outrageous they are, the funnier it is!
Have a campfire
Roast marshmallows, barbecue kebabs, whatever you want. Have a group of close friends join you and make a night out of it!
