Craffiti: Egypt’s Smart Move to Support Local Artisans and Craftsmanship!
Egypt is well known for its heritage that’s rich in art, history, and culture. One thing for sure is that the country’s legacy of craftsmanship truly reflects that kind of wealth. In an attempt to empower handicrafts and showcase what we’ve got to the world, a new event is born. Craffiti Egypt’s debut exhibition will take place at Cairo’s Ard Al Ma’ared in Nasr City from the 11th to the 18th of October, 2018.
The event will be held under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Social Solidarity, and the Federation of Egyptian Industries. Additionally, it’s powered by Ebdaa’ Men Masr by Alex Bank and organized by the Egyptian Export Council for Handicrafts and the Handicrafts Industry Chamber are also supporters of the event. The main aim behind the exhibition is to support the industry as it’s considered one of the basic foundations of the Egyptian economy.
The exhibition is the first international event of its kind in Egypt. It doesn’t just showcase the work of artisans and craftsmen, but also promotes it to local and international markets. The event will feature more than 150 exhibitors in the fields of handmade textile, jewelry, pottery, woodworks, and more.
