A video has been making waves on the interwebz of a group of Egyptians in the streets of New York going absolutely nuts — in the best way there is — due to Egypt’s historic victory last night. The video has been shared by Dot Masr TV, and it has garnered over 7,400 likes and 2,500 shares.
Egypt has not reached the World Cup finals since 1990, but last night’s win ensured itself a spot at next year’s finals in Russia, after beating Congo 2-1.
