Without a doubt, this has been the women’s year with all the incredible performances in Ramadan’s TV drama. Yet, one woman stood out so brilliantly and unexpectedly that we are actually scared. Anoushka, every 80s kid favorite songstress, has been taking the drama scene by storm the past couple of years.

This year, Anoushka plays the criminal, evil, I-will-stop-at-nothing mother, Kesmet Hanem, in fan-favorite TV series Grand Hotel. To say she is the queen of all Maleficents and Cerseis of the world would be an understatement.

This woman has managed to creep her way into viewers’ heart with her outstanding performance and terrifying glare, and build a toxic love-hate relationship with all Egyptians and Arabs. She is so manipulative and evil; we are completely enchanted. This is the best villainess to hit Egypt’s TV in years.

To make things even more disturbing for us, she had to play the sweet and lovable aunt in Soqoot 7or. We’re confused, We’re in awe and we want this woman every single year on TV.
