VIDEO: Emirates’ Response to US Electronics Ban Is So Sassy We Love It

Following the US’ ban on allowing passengers from a handful of Middle Eastern and North African countries to pack large electronic devices in their carry-on luggage, Dubai’s Emirates Airline took to its Instagram page with a slick new advert.

Highlighting their in-flight entertainment, the Instagram post shares the message, “Who needs tablets and laptops anyway?” It is an excerpt from the Jennifer Aniston television commercial released in October last year. It goes on to say that Emirates has over 2500 channels of the latest movies, box sets, live sport and kids TV on board.

“Emirates can confirm that as per the new security directive issued by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), electronic devices larger than a cell phone/smart phone, excluding medical devices, cannot be carried in the cabin of the aircraft,” a statement from the airline said.

WE SAID THIS: We here at Scoop Empire love what Emirates did, standing up to this ludicrous ban in the most fabulous way there is.
