UAE Holds Top Spot As Most Desirable Country To Live In For 12th Consecutive Year
According to the latest Arab Youth Survey, the UAE has once again been ranked as the most desirable country for young Arabs to live in. The survey, which interviewed 3,600 people aged between 18 and 24 from 18 countries, revealed that 41% of participants believe the UAE’s safety and security to be its most appealing attribute, followed by its growing economy (28%), effective leadership (24%), clean environment (22%), and ease of starting a business (20%).
For many young Arabs, the UAE represents a land of opportunity and promise. Tarek Mahmoud, a 22-year-old civil engineer from Lebanon, spoke about the challenges he faces in his home country and how the UAE offers a welcoming environment for fresh graduates and young talent. Similarly, Tala Dia, a 25-year-old senior auditor from Lebanon who moved to the UAE two years ago, says that the UAE has become her second home due to its safety, security, and stability.
Furthermore, the UAE has been named as the country that many young Arabs would like their own country to emulate, with 10% citing it as a good place to start a family, 16% highlighting its high-quality schools, 16% praising its strong cultural identity and heritage, and 13% recognizing its generous salaries.
Sunil John, the founder of Asda’a BCW, the PR agency that conducts the annual survey, states that the UAE continues to be a beacon of hope for Arab youth seeking jobs, opportunities, and the freedom to achieve their full potential. With almost one in four Arab youth naming the UAE as their top choice for a place to live, it is clear that the UAE’s winning attributes and sound leadership have not gone unnoticed.
