The UAE Sports Chief, Mohammed Khalfan Al-Romaithi, has suggested that the UAE would be open to co-hosting the 2022 Fifa World Cup if the rift with Qatar that started in 2017 would be resolved. “Bring back the relationships, be brothers again like we were, and then we can support,” said Al-Romaithi.

He then added, “If the problem is solved, I think the UAE would welcome the World Cup here, a group or two for example.” Last time that two countries hosted a world cup was back in 2002 when Japan and South Korea cooperated to organize one of the best and most memorable cups in the history of football.

WE SAID THIS: Imagine how fun it’ll be to have 48-teams participate in the World Cup!
