According to Ahram Online, the Tanzanian prime minister, Kassim Majaliwa, has called on the Egyptian government to encourage more business investments in Tanzania with a major goal of boosting economic ties between the countries.

This led to the opening of the Egyptian-Tanzanian Business Forum on Tuesday and was attended by Sahar Nasr, Egypt’s Minister of Investment and International Cooperation and Majaliwa. They emphasised the benefits that both countries would have from forging a closer business relationship. Later, Nasr called for more cooperation from the business communities of both countries to deepen the partnership and strengthen the initiative.

Majaliwa added that the policy has two goals: the first is to provide more details to Egypt’s business community about the Tanzanian economy; and second, to encourage Egyptian businesspersons to invest in Tanzania’s agriculture sector as the country has numerous fertile lands.

WE SAID THIS: Here’s to more cooperation with our African neighbors.
