Ryan Gosling is going VIRAL

The Brooklyn based web developer Katherine Champagne has developed a Chrome extension that makes all the images on your Chrome internet browser Ryan Gosling. It’s more like a plug in based entirely on that theme.

Champagne said that the whole idea came up while she was working on a project related to the web development course she is taking. After jokingly altering a friend’s online profile to make him look like Channing Tatum, her instructor challenged her to develop a similar tool based on photos of Ryan Gosling. Champagne accepted, ultimately creating an easy-to-use Chrome extension.

Champagne told Mashable that she hopes her Ryan Gosling contribution to the world does more than improve Web browsing. “I hope that heygirl.io inspires more women to get into web development—there needs to be more of us, ladies!” she explained. “It’s not all math, it’s not boring—as I hope heygirl.io evidences, I’ve found programming to be an incredible creative outlet.”  She is quite right I presume.
