Preserving A Legend’s Legacy: Lionel Messi’s Room At Qatar To Be Turned Into A Museum
Insider reports that a little museum would be built in the space where Lionel Messi resided during the World Cup in Qatar. Messi and his Argentina teammates stayed on campus at Qatar University throughout the competition, giving them access to the university’s facilities, swimming pool, and soccer stadium for practice. As a result, it has been disclosed that there are plans to turn the room into a little museum, preserving the star of Paris Saint Germain’s (PSG) possessions in all their splendor for other students and tourists.
Hitmi al Hitmi, director of communications and public relations at Qatar University stated that:
“The room of Argentina national team player Lionel Messi will remain unchanged and will be turned into a museum that remains available only for visitors and not for residence. Messi’s belongings will be a legacy for students and future generations and a witness to the great achievements Messi has reached during the World Cup.”

Argentina won their third World Cup and Messi’s first of his career after a stunning victory over France in the 2022 championship match. His club manager, Christophe Galtier, acknowledged the joy of reaching such a significant milestone but also stated that the 35-year-old won’t be playing again for PSG until mid-January.
Career Highlights
In 2014 Messi led Argentina to the World Cup final, in which Argentina lost, but Messi won the Golden Ball award as the tournament’s best player. Then in 2021, Messi led the national team to win the Copa América and the 2022 World Cup, when he again won the Golden Ball award.
Also Messi is one of the most decorated players in the history of the Ballon d’Or award. He was crowned the best player of the year seven times, making him at the top of the chart with his seven Ballon d’Or. Cristiano Ronaldo is behind him in second, having won it five times.
Undoubtedly, Lionel Messi has been considered one of the greatest goal-scorers in football history. According to the Olympics, Messi has netted 98 goals in 172 international matches in his career, making him the top goal scorer of all time for Argentina. Messi is also third on the list of highest goal scorers in international football and second amongst active players, only behind rival Cristiano Ronaldo.
Many analysts claim that the controversy is now resolved and that Messi is the true GOAT as a result of this World Cup victory. But shouldn’t we be able to appreciate football without comparing players like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo? Both athletes are exceptional, and no other athlete could have accomplished what they did over the course of their careers. We should therefore appreciate their distinctive approach to football because we might not see such magnificence again.
