Pioneer Dubai Introduces The World’s First Eco Friendly Trolley

Emaar Properties continues to impress by announcing the roll out of the world’s first eco-friendly hydrogen powered, zero mission street trolley tram in Dubai. The Hop-on hop-off service will be covering a distance of one kilometer along Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, moving at 10kph, guaranteeing a well-organized and relaxed experience while making multiple stops at Dubai’s downtown iconic attractions.

By integrating the unmatched aesthetics of a trolley tram with a state-of-the-art locomotive system, Emaar is presenting a sustainable transport mode for visitors and residents in Downtown Dubai.”

The tram can carry up to 50 people while allowing access to landmarks as The Dubai mall, Burj Khalifa, Souk AL Bahar and three world-class hotels, The Address Downtown Dubai, Vida Downtown Dubai and Manzil Downtown Dubai.

When many eco-friendly transport systems failed to merge environmental statement with style, Dubai’s trolley pulled it off effortlessly. The trams are exquisitely designed  in bright red with aesthetic gold pin-stripes and green trim colors, featuring Arabesque design elements.

Working hours are from 4 pm to midnight on weekdays and from 3 pm – 11pm on weekends with several crossings along the tramway for pedestrian safety. For further visitors convenience, three air conditioned stations are constructed.

We expect nothing but greatness from Dubai for it is one of the few that can turn a transport system into another tourist attraction.
