Via Airlines Inform

Kamel Hasan Al Awadhi, the board of directors at Kuwait Airways has just been promoted to the Deputy Chief Executive, and will become the new acting CEO of the company!

Al Awadhi began working at the airline in September 1999 as an engineer with a supervising position in the quality control department, rising up the ranks to become deputy chief executive in 2016.

The new CEO is expected to execute the company’s plans to compete with other regional leading companies like Emirates, Etihad, and Saudi airlines.

Kuwait Airways is planning to expand, as they begin operations from the new terminal four building at the Kuwait International Airport. Additionally, last week, they signed an agreement with Airbus for an order of eight A330-800neos that will be delivered starting 2019. It should be mentioned that Kuwait Airways was once one of the leading premium companies in the region before the 1990 Gulf War!

WE SAID THIS: More competition definitely translates into better service!
