The beloved Egyptian singer Mohamed Mohsen will be performing his first concert in Tunisia at the International Hammamet Festival on the 4th of August. Mohsen is expected to sing a number of songs by Abdel Halim Hafez, Warda, and other songs of his own.
Mohsen managed to grab the attention of the public after years of trying to seek a singing career with his distinguished traditional Arabic singing, performing the works and compositions of Sayed Darwish and Mohamed Abdel Wahab with a fresh style. Also, he participated in the plays “Tales of People in the Revolution of 1919” and “One Thousand and One Nights” and won the award for Best Arab Singer at the Jordan Festival in 2012.
It’s worth mentioning that Mohsen just participated in a concert in Morocco on Saturday. Also, the singer is preparing to record a new song in collaboration with the poet Ahmed Al Malki and the composer Mohamed Abia.
The Tunisian festival is an annual cultural and artistic event held at the International Cultural Center in Hammamet during the months of July and August. Its first edition was held in 1966 and is considered the second most important Tunisian cultural festival after the Carthage International Festival.
