This Man Was Buried Alive in Sand in the UAE

Tragedy struck the UAE when a construction worker lost his life after a large pile of sand buried him alive at Ras El Khaimah.

The incident took place at work site where three Asian men were working, according to Khaleej Times.

Brigadier Mohammed Abdullah Al Zaabi, Director of the RAK Civil Defense Department, confirmed that fellow workers had been rescued.

The official explained that the construction worker perished before the arrival of the rescue team. “Initial investigations show that the mishap took place at an under construction building in RAK city. The third worker, who was badly injured, sadly died on the spot,” Al Zaabi said.

Police investigations are currently taking place to establish the circumstances surrounding the worker’s death.
