Lost In Florence: Planning Spring Break

We finally finished our finals, but we still didn’t decide where to go for Spring Break, we knew we wanted to travel somewhere together, and that’s all we knew.

We had 3 days left to decide, we didn’t want to waste one more day. Every time we gathered to make some plans, we ended up going somewhere and going back home at dawn. It was chaos.

A day before we were supposed to travel, me and 3 other friends gathered with our credit cards, and started getting things going, we first wanted to rent a van and have a road-trip to France, spend 2 days there, then off to Barcelona, Spain.

But driving there was going to be a hassle, and knowing my friends, we’ll probably end up in Iceland. So we played it safe and just booked plane tickets to Barcelona, we planned on staying there for 10 days in an apartment, so we also took care of the apartment. (Aren’t we productive?)

We had a week left after those 10 days, so instead of going back to Florence, we decided we should go to Athens and Mykonos for a week, then back to Florence. I went along with it. (Of course, my mom was getting Credit Card messages of flights to Greece and was way too confused.)

And there it was, all we had to do was print our tickets, and the day after we’ll hop on the bus to Pisa, then take the flight to Barcelona.

I had a few hours to pack, sleep, and probably wake my friends up, knowing that we’ll probably miss our flight if no one woke us up.

I was allowed only one carry on luggage, so I had to pack smart for 17 days worth.

(Of course, I failed. but more on that later.)
