The entire world thinks the presidential void in Lebanon (having lasted two years now) is a matter of serious proportions –except for the Lebanese who joke about it all the time. The entire population of Lebanon has clearly mastered the art of adaptation, AKA not giving a damn. The tiny country, surrounded by a falling giant, a not so friendly next door neighbor, and housing millions of refugees, is in complete chaos. Apparently, that doesn’t stop them from making the best of every moment. Lebanese people have a talent to use humor in order to make statements about their country’s situation which will really sink in deep after the laugh.
We give you times these humorous and creative specimen dealt with their situation:
So, about the president…
Great news though, Lebanese municipalities held elections this year
And, honestly… priorities guys!
But you know, when in doubt…
Oh, and have you heard of Lebexit?
I mean hey, if your own government would sell you out
And when there that bank explosion
And well, when you’re content with one of the unique qualities of your country
If you don’t have the right humor to adapt to the country and decide to leave…
Literally the general attitude Lebanese people react to a crisis
