Sharjah’s House of Wisdom Holds Honorary Khalil Gibran Exhibition

Titled “A Window to the Soul: Gibran Khalil Gibran,” the exhibition held in Sharjah’s House of Wisdom honors the late Lebanese poet and artist, Khalil Gibran. The exhibition was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah.

In collaboration with the Gibran Museum and the Gibran National Committee, the exhibition is open to visitors until January 6th, 2022. Great care was put into formulating an impressive exhibition featuring never-before-seen works from the artist, and sponsored by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Barjeel Art Foundation.

In celebration of the iconic poet’s life and legacy, this exhibition shows 34 of Gibran’s most defining works and pieces, along with 15 more exclusive, never-before-seen works from the artist. Among the collections displayed is a special exhibition which showcases personal items from the poet, including four manuscripts, a collection of notebooks, his watercolor set, and much more.

The exhibition is divided into seven displays: A window, Connection: Roots and Branches, Formation, Study: Faces, Medium: Red Chalk, Method: Perspective, and The Soul. If you’re in Sharjah, this is one cultural event for the books that you don’t want to miss!
