Jiroemon Kimura Dies at the Age of 116
The oldest man recorded in history Jiroemon Kimura dies at the age of 116 of natural causes. He was given this title on December 2012.
The man had seven children, 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren, we won’t blame him if he couldn’t remember their names.
He was born on 19 April 1897.
In an interview on his 115th birthday, he said he was not sure why he was able to live so long.
“Maybe it’s all thanks to the sun above me, I am always looking up towards the sky, that is how I am.” he said.
The secret to his longevity was “eating light to live long,” Ms Matsuyama told the BBC.
