Jaw-Dropping POV Video of Eagle Soaring over Dubai
Stunning point-of-view footage of an imperial eagle swooping 829.8 meters to the ground from atop the Burj Khalifa was released this week by Freedom Conservation.
An eagle named Darshan made the record-breaking flight with a small camera strapped to his neck, capturing breathtaking views over the city.
He flew to his trainer, falconer Jacques-Olivier Travers, who deemed the flight “perfect”.
“This eagle is a signal that things can change. It was once endangered, but after conservation programmes it is not so endangered,” Director of Freedom Conservation Ronald Menzel told the BBC.
