From Switzerland to Cairo

Meet Omar, the mastermind behind LOZAN. He studied at the École Hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland, which is like the Ivy League of hospitality. After that, he worked at the Four Seasons Cairo as a Catering Sales Manager.

After many years in the business, Omar decided to combine everything he’d learned into something of his own.

“I dreamt of combining this special set of skills and experiences in providing upscale catering in Egypt,” he says. And thus, LOZAN was born.

Why the Name “LOZAN”?

It’s got layers. Sure, the name nods to Lausanne, the Swiss city that played a big part in his journey.

But Omar explains, “LOZAN is also an abbreviation of my family’s names. L for Laila, my daughter; O for Omar; Z for Zizo, my son; A for AND; and N for Nancy, my wife.”

Sweet, personal, and symbolic. We’re here for it.

“What truly makes us different is our passion for hospitality,” Omar says. “Our eye for detail, and our ability to elevate every occasion into something truly special. We really enjoy crafting special memories with our guests.”

“It would be a delicate fillet of branzino,” Omar says without missing a beat. “Gently pan-seared, served with a velouté of citrus and herbs, and a medley of seasonal vegetables.”

Why branzino? For him, it’s more than just a fancy fish. “The branzino reflects our Mediterranean soul: fresh, light, and sophisticated,” he explains. It’s that effortless elegance—like, you didn’t try too hard, but you still turned heads.

As for the velouté? “The citrus-herb velouté mirrors our subtle yet memorable touches,” he adds.

And the seasonal veggies? That’s the plot twist. “The seasonal accompaniments represent our ability to adapt, tailor, and elevate each experience with care.”

Most-Requested Dishes?

“Tuna Tataki, Paella, Sous Vide Tenderloin, and Succulent Duck.” And don’t sleep on dessert: “Berries Pavlova and Lemon Meringue Delight” are also big-time fan favorites.
