In Pictures: Two Artists Bring the Iconic 80’s Gerndizer to Life in Dubai
Swiss Photographer Marc Ninghetto and Dubai-based landscape Photographer Rafi Kabbas are bringing the most beloved robot from the 80s, Gerindizer, to Dubai.
In case you haven’t heard before about this Arabic-dubbed anime, Gerindizer is a giant robot with golden horns who can shoot concentrated energy bursts from his hands.
When Ninghetto came to Dubai he wanted to work with someone who knew the city and that’s why he hired the help of Kabbas, who is usually more interested in nature photography but decided to get in on the project.
Both photographers collaborated and took pictures, adding Gerindizer through a technique called digital sampling.
