Huawei and Uber Teamed Up with Rami Serry and Gave People Free Smartphones

With the prices of everything skyrocketing in this country, we literally don’t know how people can afford anything…especially a smartphone. Well, Huawei felt very generous and decided to do something about that as they gave people their newest baby, Mate 9, for free.

The mobile giants joined forces with Uber and Egypt’s top professional race car driver Rami Serry and gave lucky people, well, a Huawei Mate 9. Serry took over the streets of Cairo with the sweetest ride your eyes will ever see (see above) as an Uber driver on February 7th and 8th. Anyone who used their Uber application and got to summon Serry automatically got a spin on dem hot wheels and won a smartphone.

The unlucky ones who didn’t get to have Serry as their Uber driver still had a chance to win the Mate 9 the next day. Anyone who could spot Serry in the streets of Om El Donya, and take a picture of his car and Instagram it with the hashtag #UberMeMate9 also won a phone.
