Gelatissimo Opening in Saudi Arabia

The hugely popular Australian gelato franchise Gelatissimo is set to hit the Saudi Arabian market this year, starting with Jubail City then Damman City.

Zamel Alshahrani, partner and CEO of Saudi Daz Co. Ltd – the group responsible for bringing the franchise to Saudi Arabia – says Gelatissimo’s advantage is its artisan gelato that is made with the finest natural ingredients, fresh in-store daily.

Expect special flavors created just for the region, including rosewater, fig, honey and cardamom, alongside other yummy favorites pistachio, mango and macadamia.

The frozen treats shop will also offer coffee, cakes and the ginormous Gelatissimo Coppe Gelato Sundaes.

With three successful gelaterias in Kuwait, this penetration into Saudi seems to be just the beginning of the franchise’s lucrative expansion in the Middle East, with UAE likely to be next.
