Free Parking in Abu Dhabi on New Year’s Day
2017 is already looking amazing in Abu Dhabi as the Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport (DMAT) just announced that parking anywhere in the emirate will free on January 1.
New Year’s Day will also be a holiday for all federal ministries and departments, as well as the private sector. Official work will resume on Monday, January 2, it was announced last week.
UPDATE: The timing for free parking has just been extended till 8:00 am on January 2. The ITC has asked motorists to stick to the regulations regarding the resident-only permit parking from 9 pm to 8 am.
