Under the slogan “Go professional at a young age… professional football”, this week Pepsi Schools League signed a groundbreaking partnership with leading European football league La Liga.
Under the partnership, the best 23 young footballers from Pepsi Schools League will get the chance to go to Spain for training in the hopes of becoming professional players for international football clubs in the future.
“The partnership aspires to hone young talents skills and provide them with chances to be professional with a world-class standard via getting trained by international professional trainers and experts,” La Liga’s Middle East and North Africa General Director Fernando Sanz Durán explained.
According to Ahmed El Sheikh, the General Manager of PepsiCo in Egypt, 60 Egyptian professional players in local and international football clubs have graduated from the Pepsi Schools League.
The celebration was also attended by a number of Egyptian sports celebrities, such as Shawky Ghareeb, Mohamed Nagy Gedo, Abdel Aziz Abdel Shafy and some Pepsi School League graduates, including Ahmed Hassan Koka.
